Designed for larger nail salons with up to eight manicure or pedicure stations, the Salon Safe FreshAire system combines outdoor-air supply, contaminated-air exhaust and energy recovery. It helps support balanced salon ventilation while reducing the heating and cooling load associated with conditioning outdoor air.

Q: Are Modulating or self balancing Dampers are included in the Salon Safe Freshaire HVAC Kits?

A: Dampers are not included with the HVAC kit, but they are a good idea to have if the tables aren’t equipped with them. Dampers can help make sure each table is getting at least 50 CFM at each station.

Q: Does the Salon Safe Freshaire HVAC Kit mitigate temperature from the fresh air that's being brought inside?

A: The system does mitigate temperature… it’s about 60% effective which means the other 40% of the outside temp there needs to be picked up by the base building HVAC. See Chart Below for specific Data

Q: Does the Salon Safe Freshaire HVAC Kit comply with IMC and OSHA requirements?

A: SalonSafe's ventilation system will comply with IMC so long as the table or chair it's connected to is compatible.

OSHA has regulations that govern the nail salon workplace.. The ventilation requirements are fairly general and not as specific as in the IMC..but we can say our system meets or exceeds those guidelines when connected to a compatible table or chair.

Q: Do the Salon Safe Freshaire HVAC Kits come with a booster fan?

A: The 8 Station HVAC kit only uses fans which are internal and inside the housing. The 4 Station HVAC kit still comes with an external booster fan.

Q: Does the Salon Safe Freshaire HVAC Kit have an on/off toggle switch?

A: No, you should request that your HVAC engineer connect the unit to an On/Off Toggle switch or wire it to time clocks which coincide with the business operating hours for ease of use.
